Who is Dave Howard?

The themes of love, joy, loss, strength, faith and realization run through Dave Howard's work like a timeless river.

The purpose of this site is to familiarize you with Dave's unique insights into this dream we call life. And to share his perspectives on business and personal relationships, through his writing and through his music.

For over 20 years, Dave Howard has been writing, performing and teaching others. He has been sought out by his peers as a collaborator, mentor and consultant, and his songs have been performed and recorded by artists like A.J. Croce, Berkley Hart, Sven-Erik Seaholm, John Katchur, Jeff Clark and Dani Carroll. Dave's songs have also been featured on NBC, UPN, NPR and in independent films.

I am saddened and shocked at the sudden passing of Craig Yerkes.

Craig joined the San Diego music community and made an immediate and profound impact; first as a fan, then as a performer and writer. His contributions as lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for multi-award winning group The Grams and as a columnist for The San Diego Troubadour touch only the surface of a vast and deep well of giving that made the man.

Instantly approachable, openly affable and always the optimist, Craig was a friend to be had. He was a great supporter to me and countless other San Diego musicians and he will be missed.

Craig was a dedicated father of two, brother, son and husband. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, his musical colleagues and all who knew him.

As soon as information is available on how best to help his grieving family, I will post it here. For now, please keep Craig's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers and check The Grams website for more information.

On the music page you'll also see that I've written some song insights which will give you a little background on the theme or origin of each song. There is also a link to the song lyrics which will open in a new window so you can keep browsing the music.The works page has my discography; a definitive list of all the known commercially released recordings of my songs.

The new Members Section is a living work-in-progress, but it's already very cool.
